AA/24/AS/22/UEPC - Area F General Education (GE) Outcome Alignment & Review Process

Effective Fall 2022

WHEREAS: Area F was implemented in compliance with AB 1460 per 10/AS/21/UEPC.

WHEREAS: General Education Areas require Goals and Outcome Alignment per 17/AS/14/UEPC.

WHEREAS: UEPC, GE-Sub, and the Ad-Hoc Committee on the Implementation of the Ethnic Studies Requirement have agreed upon Goals (2, 3), an Anchor Outcome (2.3), and two Suggested Outcomes (3.3, 3.4) for Area F.

WHEREAS: Per 10/AS/21/UEPC, “the UEPC and GE-sub committees, in collaboration with the Ad-Hoc Committee on the implementation of the Ethnic Studies requirement, [have worked] to develop a structure for ongoing review and assessment of Area F courses, including addition of courses to area F and integration with existing curricular approval structures,” be it

RESOLVED: That the California State University Stanislaus Academic Senate recommends the attached revision to the General Education Area and Outcome Alignment previously adopted under 21/AS/19/UEPC, and be it further

RESOLVED: That the California State University Stanislaus Academic Senate acknowledges the agreed-upon existing curricular structures, per 22/AS/19/UEPC, for approval, review, and assessment of Area F courses.
