AA/2/AS/91/SEC - International Exchange Program

Effective May 1, 2007
In the spirit of providing a multi-cultural and international perspective in its academic program, California State University, Stanislaus, is prepared to enter into student and/or faculty exchange agreements with academic institutions abroad whenever such arrangements are deemed to be in their mutual interest and in accordance with the following conditions:

  1. The scope and terms of such exchange agreements must be consistent with the mission of the CSUS, as outlined in the University’s Mission Statement.
  2. International exchange agreements between CSUS and foreign institutions must not impose burdens on the academic departments or the faculty which reduce their ability to offer the established curriculum for their majors and minors and to carry out traditional service functions for other academic programs.
  3. Faculty exchange agreements with foreign institutions which involve the commitment of specific academic disciplines require the prior identification of faculty in the respective academic departments who are willing to participate in such exchanges.
  4. Exchange students from a partner institution matriculating at CSUS must satisfy the University’s admission requirements.
  5. Before entering into an international exchange agreement with a foreign institution, there shall be consultation with:
    1. the College/Schools and academic departments directly affected by the agreement, and
    2. the University Educational Policies Committee and the Faculty Affairs Committee.
