Biological Sciences Minor

Requirements

To qualify for this academic minor, students must complete the required number of units with a minimum GPA of 2.0 (C).

(20 units)

1. Complete the following lower-division courses:

(8 units)

• BIOL 1050 - General Biology I
    and
• BIOL 1150 - General Biology II
   
  or
• An equivalent complete introductory biology sequence

2. Complete a minimum of 12 units of upper-division coursework from the following categories:

c. At least one upper division course with a lab

(4 units)

d. At least 2 units of upper division elective courses

not to include BIOL 4900 series courses, courses graded only CR/NC, or upper division GE courses in the biological sciences (other than those listed above). Courses taken without the pre-requisites will not be applied toward the minor.
