NURS 3040 - Women’s Health(3 Units) Presents an overview of health care issues faced by women
throughout the life cycle. Begins with an examination of scientific
inquiry and a biological review of the female body. Specific health
care problems common to women throughout the life span are
addressed. The roles, rights, and responsibilities of women in the
health care system are discussed. Encompasses a women-centered
philosophy that encourages women’s active participation in their
health care decisions.Open to all upper-division students.Satisfies G. E. area F3.(Lecture, 3 hours)
