CJ 3230 - Police Ethics and Civil Liability(3 Units) Using a case study, social and legislative analytical approach,
this course will explore ethics in law enforcement from its
historical roots through contemporary ethical issues. Ethical
issues will include areas such as communications, race, sex,
excessive physical force, corruption, and conflicts of interest.
Civil liability will focus on the tort liability for certain
statutory and ethical violations.Prerequisites: CJ 2250 or consent of instructor.
