Introduction to thesis research and writing, library resources, the thesis proposal and defense process, techniques for avoiding plagiarism, and familiarity with current faculty research. Prepares students to select faculty mentor and begin the thesis proposal.

Prerequisites: Graduate standing or instructor permission.
