Reviews the social, psychological, and physiological effects of all the major therapeutic and recreational drugs. The issues of drug use and abuse will be studied to develop effective strategies for prevention and rehabilitation of drug dependency.

Satisfies G.E. area UD-D. Upper Division G.E. courses are designed to be taken after upper-division status (completion of 60 semester units) is attained.
