An introduction to organic evolution for students unacquainted with the subject. Its implications extend far beyond the confines of biology, ramifying into all phases of human life and activity. May not be used to count toward electives in the biology major.

Satisfies G.E. area UD-B. Upper Division G.E. courses are designed to be taken after upper-division status (completion of 60 semester units) is attained.

Prerequisites: Junior standing.
