PSYC 5740 - Community Counseling Interventions

Course provides an introduction to community counseling concepts and interventions with a focus on working with individuals with severe mental illness. Students will increase their understanding of the interaction between individual, group, organizational, community, and societal factors and how they affect psychological well-being. Recovery-oriented, evidence-based interventions will be emphasized.

Prerequisites: Graduate standing or consent of instructor.
