(Formerly The Chief Executive) Study of the chief executive in American national government. The roles, responsibilities, powers, and limits of the President and other decision-makers in the Executive Branch are analyzed, and the centrality of the executive in the American political system is emphasized.

Satisfies upper division writing proficiency requirement.

Prerequisites: PSCI 1201 and completion of the Writing Proficiency Screening Test with a passing score.
