(Formerly Social, Psychological, and Philosophical Issues in Education) Trends in educational sociology and the politics of schooling; key issues of educational psychology with respect to the impact of culture, class, race, and gender particularly in the Central Valley region; impact of technology on learning; and methodological concepts.

Prerequisites: Admission to the Ed.D. program.
