Roadmap: B.A. in Criminal Justice, Forensic Science Concentration for Transfers


***FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS*** 

By completing the following Roadmap, you will earn a BA in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Science. Students should have completed a two-year Transfer with Associate’s Degree program, or a minimum of 60 units completing GE Areas A through E.

The subsequent list of prerequisites or their equivalents to the Forensic Science concentration can be completed at community colleges. If you do not complete these before tr ansfer, you must complete them your first semester of transfer. The prerequisites to the concentration are: CHEM 1100 - General Chemistry I, BIOL 2310 - Human Genetics, MATH 1600 - Statistics, and PSYC 2030 - Psychology of Adjustment

The Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice program offers an appreciation of the full complexity of American criminal justice and permits students the opportunity to understand fully the social, legal, and technical processes within the various criminal justice. agencies. The major requires the study of a variety of courses pertaining to the administration of criminal justice and an equal number of courses on the nature of criminal behavior, as well as !ts social and psychological causes. The concentrations require completion of the lower-division prerequisites, the required core courses, and the requirements of the concentration.

This Roadmap is a recommended advising map to complete the degree program in two years. Please consult your academic advisor as you develop your academic plan.
