BIOL 4850 - Forensic DNA Technology2 unit(s) Applications of DNA technology in forensic investigation will be explored. The laboratory segment will expose students to a variety of molecular biology techniques used in forensic laboratories. The lecture component will introduce fundamental concepts in molecular biology and expound on the analysis and interpretation of results obtained in the lab.
Prerequisites: BIOL 2310 and CHEM 1100 or BIOL 3350 with a grade of C- or higher.
Hours: (Lecture, 1 hour; laboratory, 3 hours)
