Astronomy Minor

The Astronomy Minor allows students to pursue an interest in astronomy with a focus on current areas of astronomy and astrophysics research. Students will learn the fundamentals of modern astronomy, including using analysis of observations and simulations. Paired with a science degree, the Astronomy Minor helps prepare students for graduate research in astronomy and related fields such as planetary science, astrochemistry, and astrobiology.

Requirements
To qualify for this academic minor, students must complete the required number of units with a minimum GPA of 2.0 (C). (23 Units) 1. Complete the Following Lower-Division Courses
(12 units) 2. Complete a Computational Methods Course
(3 units) 3. Complete Upper-Division Courses
Complete a minimum of 8 upper-division units, including at least 6 units of ASTR courses, from the following list: |
