Health Informatics and Data Analytics Concentration

The Health Informatics and Data Analytics concentration provides unique educational opportunities within an interdisciplinary program that includes health science, computer science, computer information systems, and geography. The aggregate of courses will provide the student with a cumulative set of skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to use programs and databases to locate and manage data, as well as the ability to capture acquired data by health information technology systems to report current and future predictive outcomes using written and visual presentations.

The Health Informatics and Data Analytics concentration has a rigorous science-based curriculum that prepares students for careers in fields regulated by the California Department of Public Health such as Epidemiology, Data Science, Clinical and Health Informatics.
