Program Learning Outcomes
- Further develop analytical and critical reading skills in Spanish, demonstrating the ability to read, comprehend and interpret a variety of culturally diverse literary, non-literary, visual and multi-media texts.
- Demonstrate formal writing skills in Spanish that exhibit a solid control of the grammar and well-developed arguments including: thesis, focus, explanation, description, supportive arguments, examples, textual support, and supportive bibliography.
- Understand and interpret the target language and gain the ability to present information, concepts, and ideas in the target language to a diverse audience of listeners or readers.

2. Complete the following prerequisites to the major:

3. Complete the major of not less than 24 upper-division units.
No more than 8 units of CR-graded course work in courses graded exclusively CR/NC may apply toward the major. Note:
A student who can demonstrate equivalent preparation may be exempt from 4 to 14 units of the lower-division requirement. Two years of college-level Spanish or the equivalent is required for admission to upper-division courses.
Completion of an academic minor in a related discipline is not required, but is strongly recommended for single subject credential candidates. 1. Complete the following two courses:
