BIOL 4850 - DNA Technology in Forensic Science(2 Units) Applications of DNA technology in forensic investigation will be explored. The laboratory segment will expose students to a variety of molecular biology techniques used in forensic laboratories. The lecture component will introduce fundamental concepts in molecular biology and expound on the analysis and interpretation of results obtained in the lab.Prerequisites: BIOL 2310 or 3350; and CHEM 1100, or consent of instructor.(Lecture, 1 hour; laboratory, 3 hours)
