NURS 3115 - Transition to Professional Practice2 unit(s) (Professional Nursing) Designed to support the transition to baccalaureate-level nursing practice, this
course explores nursing as a dynamic and evolving profession. Students examine
nursing’s unique perspective and its integration with scientific, humanistic, and
ethical knowledge to promote holistic care. Focus areas include professional identity, ethical comportment, and the legal and regulatory foundations of practice. The course also encourages reflective thinking, evidence-based decision-making, and leadership development to support safe, accountable, and person-centered care across the lifespan and spheres of care. Open to Nursing majors only.
Prerequisites: Admission to the RN to BSN nursing program.
