  • Describe the history of UASs and relevance to geospatial applications (PLO #1);
  • Evaluate the capabilities and limitations of the UAS-acquired imagery and post-processing systems (PLO #1);
  • Examine fundamental concepts surrounding operating a UAS such as selecting the right UAS and sensors, managing resulting imagery, selecting the appropriate commercially available processing software, products accuracy assessment, evaluating imagery quality and accuracy (PLO #1 & #3); and, 
  • Describe the rules and regulations governing operating a UAS in the United States of America (PLO #1).
