KINS 4950 - Public Health Capstone3 unit(s) Culminating experience for all students in the Public Health Promotion BS that allows students to integrate, synthesize and apply the knowledge of public health gained throughout their undergraduate program. Open to Public Health Promotion Seniors only.
Prerequisites: KINS 4550, 4570, and 4590. Limited to Senior standing and taken the last semester.
Course Learning Outcomes List
- Synthesize and integrate knowledge acquired from core public health domains to address current health issues (PLO #1; and #2);
- Apply ethical principles and professional standards to public health practice (PLO #3; and #5);
- Demonstrate command of public health terminology and concepts through writing and oral presentations (PLO #2; PLO #4; PLO #6; PLO #7);
- Apply techniques used to analyze, monitor, and evaluate public health-related data (PLO #6; PLO #7); and,
- Demonstrate leadership and collaborative skills to achieve common goals in public health practice (PLO #5, #8).
