EDAD 5808 - Administrative Intern Seminar4 unit(s) To acquire knowledge, understanding, and reflect on experiences gained in the position of administrative intern. Areas of discussion and practice include but are not limited to: best practices in completing the California Administrator Performance Assessment, organizational and leadership practices; ethical and moral behavior and decision-making; quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis; communities of learning; collaborative problem solving and conflict resolution; identification of critical areas of need to support a vision of teaching and learning; development of strategies for school improvement; and stakeholder engagement. *May be repeated up to 4 times.
Prerequisites: Must be enrolled in the School Administration program; Must have completed a formal Administrative Intern Agreement; Must have a formal job offer from a K-12 or County Office institution; Must have applied for your official Administrative Intern Credential which is issued by the CTCC.

1. Students will be able to diagnose the cause of school problems, apply skills of inquiry, analyze problems and propose solutions;
2. Students will be able to critically self-reflect on mindsets and actions of an equity driven leader;
3. Students will practice and be able to apply best practices in how to balance school management and self-care.; and,
4. Students will be able to demonstrate the skills needed to complete the requirements for all three cycles of the California Administrator Performance Assessment (CalAPA).
