THEA 3400 - Voice and Movement I

Course introduces the actor to various techniques in vocal practice and physical movement to enhance the actor’s imagination, relaxation, and physical and vocal expression of character.

Prerequisites: THEA 1500

Course Learning Outcomes List
Students will:

  1. Develop physical and vocal tools for creative expression in rehearsal and performance. PLO #2
  2. Articulate basic vocal and physical anatomy for the purpose of expression in rehearsal and performance. PLO #2
  3. Develop tools to reduce tension and acknowledge habits of moving and speaking that impede expression in rehearsal and performance.PLO #2 & 7
  4. Create a personal process for physical and vocal warm-ups. PLO #2
