ETHS 3350 - Asian American and Pacific Islander Experiences3 unit(s) Upper division interdisciplinary course examines the experiences of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in the U.S. In particular, this course focuses on historical and contemporary experiences of Asian American and Pacific Islander populations through a variety of perspectives, including critical, intersectional, and decolonial.
Satisfies G.E. area UD-4 and the Sociocultural Inquiry Requirement.
Prerequisites: Recommended Prerequisite: ETHS 2200.
Course Learning Outcomes List Students will:
- Describe experiences of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
- Explain histories of Asian American and Pacific Islander groups through a regional, national, and/or global context (PLO 1).
- Examine Asian Pacific America in the U.S. and globally.
- Identify contemporary issues of Asian American and Pacific Islander populations.
