KINS 4510 - Environmental Health3 unit(s) This multidimensional environmental health course integrates research, policies, social justice, and cultural values with environmental health between humans, the ecosystem, and their interaction. The course will examine models and practice, evidence, and debates about the sources, causal connections, and impacts on the environment.
Prerequisites: KINS 2000
Course Learning Outcomes List Students will be able to:
1. Identify and experience critical issues, concepts, challenges in the field of environmental health (PLO #1);
2. Collect and analyze data, both scientific and non-scientific, in the field of environmental health;
3. Synthesize multi-dimensional and diverse data on environmental health (PLO #1);
4. Interpret and explain data from gathered information and personal experience both in writing and orally, for peers and for the publics; and,
5. Develop an environmental protection and preservation scheme or system, based on information gathered from assigned materials, experiences and insights obtained in class discussions and other sources.
