(Formerly Newswriting) Students will develop an in-depth understanding of print and electronic journalism’s methods of news writing, gathering information, reporter assignments, and the legal and ethical issues in journalism.

Course Learning Outcomes List
The purpose of this course is:

1. To engage students in the art of print journalism;

2. To familiarize students with the process of print journalism;

3. To understand the differences between the various types of print journalism; and

4. To develop an in-depth understanding of print journalism’s methods of news writing, gathering, information, reporter assignments, and the law and ethicacy in journalism.
