CJ 5150 - Emergent Issues in Criminal Justice3 unit(s) Course gives students the opportunity for in-depth analysis and critique of current and emerging issues in law enforcement, corrections, crime prevention, policy and practice.
Prerequisites: Graduate standing.
Course Learning Outcomes List Students will be able to:
• Describe and critically assess emerging issues in criminal justice research and scholarship;
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze and explain recent developments in criminal justice policy and practice;
• Identify the links between criminal justice scholarship, policy, and practice; and
• Demonstrate the ability to access and synthesize a range of information sources in print and online.
