CIS 2000 - Introduction to Business Computer Systems3 unit(s) Introduction to the use of computers in business. This course covers basic hardware/software/network components, concepts, and their integration into business applications. The students will be introduced to word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
Hours: (Lecture, 2 hours; laboratory, 2 hours)
Course Learning Outcomes List Students will be able to:
- Explain and apply the fundamentals of computers particularly with respect to personal computer hardware and software, and the World Wide Web (PLO #1); and,
- use computer systems to acquire data, analyze and process it, and present the resulted information in a meaningful and useful manner.
