CHEM 1000 - Chemistry in the Modern World

Basic principles of chemistry as applied to the world around us. A descriptive course designed to satisfy both the General Education requirements of the non-science student and the chemistry requirement for the subject matter preparation program leading to a multiple subject credential. Not open to students with previous college chemistry.

Satisfies G.E. area 5A.

Hours: (Lecture, 3 hours)

The intent of this course is:

1. To satisfy the general education science requirements for non-scientists; and

2. To satisfy Ryan Bill requirements for elementary teachers.
