Course Learning Outcomes List Students will:
1) Develop the ability to manipulate paint to convey meaning in a coherent fashion;
2) Demonstrate through painting an understanding of the way in which formal principles serve visual expression and communication;
3) Demonstrate familiarity with diverse approaches to painting;
4) Grasp the principles of critical analysis of painting;
5) Become aware of the way in which painting practice develops out of a history of painting;
6) Develop an understanding of the relationship between painting and other visual media; and
7) Develop an understanding of the proper use of facilities and equipment in the Art Department.
