EDSS 5550 - Advanced Educational Equity, Diversity, and Access in a Global Society3 unit(s) EDSS 5550 introduces students to critical issues affecting today’s students, emphasizing equity, diversity, access, and social justice. Students will examine barriers and biases in education, learn to support all learners, and design inclusive instructional practices. The course focuses on creating safe and equitable classrooms, collaborating with others, and using equitable assessments. By the end, students will be equipped to advocate for social justice and equity in education.
This course satisfies the course requirement for the Master of Arts in Teaching program.
Prerequisites: EDGS 5510 - Introduction to Educational Research (3 units)
