EDSS 5100 - Advanced Secondary Education Methods I3 unit(s) This course focuses on effective individual instruction within diverse contexts. It emphasizes anti-racist, social justice, and inclusive strategies to honor all students. Candidates design accessible lessons aligned with state standards, drawing on the experiences of Latinx and historically marginalized students. Through an anti-racist lens, they reflect on teaching practices and commit to continuous improvement. By engaging with scholarship and research, candidates address relevant questions and contribute to advancing social/racial justice, equity, and inclusion in K-12 education.
This course satisfies the course requirement for the Master of Arts in Teaching program.
