BIOL 4800 - The Biotech Industry3 unit(s) Exploration the biotechnology industry, focusing on the practical application of scientific principles to develop innovative solutions. Students will examine the processes involved in translating biological research into real-world applications, including product development, regulatory considerations, and commercialization strategies. Students will discuss the scientific foundations, ethical implications, and market dynamics that drive the biotech industry.
Prerequisites: BIOL 3310: Cell and Molecular Biology or BIOL 3350: Introductory Genetics with a C- or better
