EDMS 5130 - Advanced Science and Health Methods3 unit(s) This course equips educators with the knowledge and skills to effectively teach science and health in K-8 classrooms. We’ll delve into teaching strategies, lesson design, and material selection, emphasizing culturally responsive, anti-racist, and inclusive approaches. Through collaborative lesson planning and data-driven assessment, we’ll ensure that our instruction is accessible, equitable, and aligned with state standards. By reflecting on our practices through a social justice lens, we’ll develop the professional responsibility needed to serve all students effectively.
This new course will satisfy the requirements of the newly proposed Master of Arts in Teaching
