This course equips educators with the knowledge and skills to effectively teach history/social science and visual/performing arts in K-8 classrooms. We’ll delve into instructional strategies, lesson planning, and material selection, emphasizing the importance of culturally responsive, anti-racist, and inclusive teaching practices. Through collaborative lesson design, data-driven assessment, and ongoing reflection, candidates will develop the ability to create equitable, accessible learning environments that honor and uplift the diverse backgrounds of all students.
