EDSE 5810 - Advanced Teaching Methods for Students with ASD3 unit(s) This course examines evidence-based best practices for students with ASD, including structured teaching, visual supports, social narratives, positive behavior support, self-advocacy skills, and inclusive education. We will explore how to design inclusive, culturally responsive lessons that leverage students’ strengths and address their unique needs. Additionally, we will delve into data-driven instruction, critical reflection, and research-based practices to promote equitable outcomes for all learners, particularly those from historically marginalized groups.
This course will be required for the new Masters of Arts in Teaching Program
Prerequisites: EDGS 5510 Intro to Educational Research
