An examination of modernism across Latin America beginning with the avant-garde movements of the late 19th century through the mid-20th century focusing especially on the intersection of artistic practices, nation-building processes, and the legacy of colonization in the region.
Satisfies G.E. UD-3 and Sociocultural Inquiry requirement.
Prerequisites: ART 2000 or ART 2520 or ART 2525 or ART 2528 or ART 2530 or consent of instructor.
