ART 4546 - Architecture Since 19003 unit(s) An examination of the history of architecture from the late nineteenth century to the present. In addition to learning about canonical figures from architectural history, students will discuss the role of modern architecture and urbanism in systems of inequity in the European context including issues of race, gender, imperialism, and exploitation as they manifest in the built environment.
Satisfies G.E. area UD-3 and Sociocultural Inquiry Requirements
Prerequisites: ART 2520, 2530, or instructor consent.
