NURS - 5470 - Clinical Formulation for Tx Plan for the Adv Practice Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurs Practitioner Students will enhance their knowledge of psychopathology to inform diagnostic reasoning, formulation, and treatment planning. The focus will be to use the various Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders major categories during psychiatric assessment, formulation of differential diagnoses, and determination of an evidence based mental health and health promotion treatment plans for patients with psychiatric and substance use disorders across the lifespan. Open to Post Masters Psychiatric-Mental Health APRN certificate students only.

Corequisites: Students will follow the roadmap for the certification.

Prerequisites: Admission to the Post Masters Psychiatric-Mental Health APRN certificate and NURS 5400, 5410, 5420, and 5430.
