ASTR 4600 - Stellar Astrophysics3 unit(s)
This is an upper-level Astrophysics course designed to give you a background in a central area of astronomy: How stars work and how stars form, evolve, and die. Stellar Astrophysics incorporates a wide range of physics topics, including nuclear physics, atomic physics, relativity, thermal physics, and computational physics. Major topics covered include stellar atmospheres, stellar interiors, star formation, stellar evolution, and stellar end points (supernova, stellar remnants, and black holes).
Prerequisites: PHYS 2260.
