KINS 4900 - Exercise is Medicine3 unit(s) The capstone course is intended to present evidence, and to develop a deeper understanding, of how exercise can prevent diseases and improve the quality of life. In addition, students will have the opportunity to actively apply their Kinesiology knowledge. Course covers a broad range of relevant topics for students entering fields related to physical activity and health. These topics include hypokinetic diseases, musculoskeletal diseases, cancer, aging, and mental health. Limited to senior standing Kinesiology majors. To be taken in the final semester of the senior year.
Prerequisites: BIOL 1010/1020, ZOOL 2250, ZOOL 2235, MATH 1600, KINS 4600.
Hours: (2 hours, lecture; 1 hour, discussion)
