Covers clinical issues including therapy approaches and assessment for behavioral and emotional disorders; child physical, sexual, and emotional abuse; and mandated child abuse reporting laws. Applies theories of developmental psychopathology to best understand child mental health and how to intervene, with emphasis on empirically-validated approaches.

Prerequisites: PSYCH 5160 and graduate standing or consent of instructor.
