NURS 4800 - Adult Health Nursing II3 unit(s) Adult Health II builds on the foundational knowledge of Medical Surgical pathophysiological concepts and their relevance to nursing practice in the care of adults with acute and chronic illnesses across healthcare environments. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based clinical judgment, person-centered care, and ethical nursing roles. Use of information technologies, and quality improvement principles with an exploration of effective communication, patient education, and self-care for nursing professionals is explored.
Corequisites: NURS 4810.
Prerequisites: Admission to the pre-licensure nursing program and students must follow the curricular roadmap or consent of instructor.
