HIST 4700 - U.S. Immigration History3 unit(s) (Formerly HIST 3720 - U.S. Ethnic and Immigrant Past) Analysis of sociocultural factors that have played into changing immigration policy and immigration flows in the U.S. since 1790. Students explore ideological, political, judicial, and economic elements impacting social experiences of various immigrant and ethnic groups. Open to Juniors and Seniors only.
Satisfies G.E. area UD-4 and the Sociocultural Inquiry Requirement.
Prerequisites: One year of college-level history or consent of instructor.
