ART 4560 - Pre-Columbian Art3 unit(s)
Arts and architecture of the peoples of Mesoamerica and South America from c. 2500 B.C.E to the arrival of the Spanish to the region (1492). The course will focus on the historical development of the arts and architecture of these region and the role of art in this wide variety of socio-political contexts.
Satisfies G.E. area UD-3 and Sociocultural Inquiry Requirement
Prerequisites: Prerequisites: ART 2515 or ART 2525 or ART 2530 or permission of instructor.
