(Formerly Cultural Variations in Nursing) Develop an awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the cultural factors that underlie a person’s way of living. This course will increase the practitioner’s ability to make in-depth assessments of the cultural influences on the individual’s healthcare status and will develop the ability to deliver culturally sensitive, safe, and effective care. Through Study Abroad, students will gain knowledge, skills, and principles that will enable them to generalize to other cultural groups. Open to Nursing Students Only or Consent of Instructor Required.
