A general survey which outlines the immigrant/ethnic saga in the United States since the Civil War. The instructor will highlight ideological, political, judicial, and economic elements which have impacted the social experience of those outside the American mainstream. Open to Juniors and Seniors only.

Satisfies G.E. area UD-D and the Sociocultural Inquiry Requirement.

Prerequisites: One year of college-level history or consent of instructor.
