ETHS 3300 - Hmong Americans and Other Refugee Populations3 unit(s) (Formerly The Hmong American Experience) Focuses on the experiences of Hmong Americans and other refugee populations in the U.S. Departing from mainstream understandings of refugees as victims, objects of rescue, problems, and/or crises, the course examines how structures and processes of colonization, imperialism, war, displacement, and state violence affect respective populations.
Satisfies G.E. area UD-D and the Multicultural Requirement.
