CJ 4850 - Scientific Evidence and the Law3 unit(s) Study and analysis of the impact and application of forensic science, scientific evidence and technology on State and Federal criminal and civil statues, the Constitution, evidence, and the criminal judicial process. Examines the scientific application and presentation of physical evidence at trial, the role of forensic scientists, criminalists, expert witnesses, and constitutional constraints in the prosecution, defense, and adjudication of criminal and civil cases.
Prerequisites: CJ 2250, CJ 2280, and CJ 3700, or consent of instructor.
