Encompasses police paradoxical issues concerning the police image, the dilemma of policing, the role of police in the community, police/community attitudes, complaints, and crime prevention through visibility and the media, politics, and the needs of ethnically diverse populations.

Prerequisites: CJ 2250 and CJ 2280, or consent of instructor.
