NURS 5480 - Practicum in Advanced Practice Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing with Indiv, Groups and Families II3 unit(s) Provides students with foundational practicum experiences necessary for the management of individuals, groups and families across the life span, including mental wellness promotion, psychiatric illness prevention, and psychiatric treatment in patients from diverse backgrounds.
Practicum provides students the opportunity to integrate theory and practice in supervised experiences. Students are required to be admitted to the Post Masters Psychiatric-Mental Health APRN certificate.
Corequisites: NURS 5490.
Prerequisites: Must hold a master’s degree from an accredited school of nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. NURS 5440, NURS 5450, NURS 5460, NURS 5470.
